Overview of smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note Pro 9: when the little things decide

In the review of the Redmi Note 9S I have complained about the prohibitive complexity of the model range Xiaomi, even within a small subseries. This year had three Redmi Note, which sometimes differ in minor details.

Redmi Note and 9S 9 Pro really only in the details: the Pro version has got a better rear camera with a 64-megapixel main module, slightly different design in a couple of color variations (not that that got us to the test), faster charging and perhaps most importantly — NFC-module. Well, the version with 4 GB of RAM on the Pro is not. About shell MIUI 11, stretched on Android 10, I wrote several times, including in recent times — I refer to the reviews of Redmi Note and Mi 10 9S, and here to cite just the main points. In this generation of MIUI without losing the crown of the functionality easier and more pleasant externally — and this is a significant step forward compared to the dynamics that we’ve seen in recent years. Shell fast, almost devoid of strange design decisions, but not always stable (Redmi Note Pro 9, like previous smartphones on MIUI 11, getting us to the tests sometimes hang) and with the help of the advertising, which is completely impossible to disable it.

Display and sound

The Xiaomi Redmi Note Pro 9 installed exactly the same display as in Redmi Note 9S: 6.67 inch IPS-matrix with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and a format 20:9. Pixel density — 395 ppi. Pixelation is not noticeable, the picture is smooth. Viewing angles free.

Oddly enough, the screen behaves slightly differently than the Redmi Note 9S, – first of all it concerns scales, which are inflated to 2.39, whereas in Note 9S was conversely lowered. Even stronger difference between the behavior of the screen Note 9 Pro when you install a busy tone. Hardware and performance

The sensor is very large (1/1,7″), which helped to keep the size of the individual pixel unchanged compared to 48-megapixel modules — 0.8 mm. The lens is devoid of optical stabilization, but has a fairly high aperture — f/1,9. The main camera is the phase autofocus system. The camera app is to be used as a two-time “hybrid” zoom and advanced angle. This applies to wide angle module with 8-megapixel sensor (sensor size — 1/4″, the size of a single pixel of 1.12 microns) and a lens aperture of f/2.2, and devoid of focus. To shoot at a wide angle makes sense only in good light — at dusk and especially at night this camera is folded.
