Review smartphone LG Q7 and Q7+: strength as a bargaining chip
When creating its flagship smartphone LG ThinQ G7 Koreans have relied on four key elements: brand system with two cameras (regular and wide angle), the introduction of this system of artificial intelligence, a high level of body protection while maintaining a mini-Jack and quality sound. In models Q7 and Q7+ preserved some signs of her sister: the case, the last test grade MIL-STD-810G, sound system with support for the codec DTS:X and the camera with a proprietary system QLens.
Baseline characteristics in Q7 and Q7+ is the same: the platform Mediatek MT6750 (6750S), a 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9, plastic case with aluminium frame. If it works bet on bright accents at the ordinary General background?
In our review participated LG Q7+. It differs from brother Q7: a 16-megapixel camera instead of 13-megapixel camera and more memory (4+3 vs 64+32). The rest of these smartphones are identical.

Design, ergonomics and software
In LG Q7 and Q7+ display extended format 18:9, but no cutaway. Is the screen in the end, 78 % of the area of the front panel, which is also quite good.
The most important feature of the structure LG Q7 and Q7+ is the size of an elongated display: 5.5 inch. When you first take the smartphone in hand, could not help wonder – it’s so compact! Do these phones still exist? He literally falls in his pocket, and – about a miracle! they can be operated with one hand. The “shovels” came, seemingly irrevocably, but LG gives you some breathing room – for this lack of an elongated display with a diagonal of 5.5 inches.
Dimensions LG Q7 and Q7+ – 143,8 × 69,3 × 7,99 mm, weight – 145 grams. It is definitely one of the lightest smartphones in its class.
Look LG Q7 and Q7+ carefully – the front panel is covered with a 2.5 D glass face is made of metal with plastic inserts for the correct operation of antennas, the back cover is made of glossy plastic. Do not hurry to shout “Fi” and throw in the screen tomatoes – this solution, first, retains the original appearance of the smartphone unchanged (to wipe plastic is a lot easier than glass), and secondly, it does not break at the first drop on the floor. The bet is placed not on the gloss and reliability.
Class dust – moisture protection – IP68. Also the smartphone has passed 14 tests MIL-STD 810G, designed by the U.S. army to assess the effectiveness of the equipment in harsh conditions. Just throw the Q7 into a wall and immersed in the aquarium I wouldn’t recommend it, but count on its survivability is definitely worth it.
Available LG Q7 and Q7+ in two color variations: blue and black. We have, as you can see from the pictures, turned out to be a black Q7+.
The arrangement of functional elements, on the one hand, very logical, and with another – not without surprises. Volume keys and switch on the device posted on edger mini-Jack along with the charging port are together at the bottom, and trays for SIM-cards and memory cards is just two: one of them is one SIM, the other with the second SIM and microSD card. Yes, sacrifice dvuhskatnye in favor of expanding the memory here is not necessary.
The fingerprint scanner located on the back panel under the camera lens. To feel it with your finger is easy, the location is ideal, however, about pressing on the camera lens are unavoidable – they are too with the scanner similar shape and closely spaced relative to each other.
The scanner uses a capacitive sensor that shows excellent speed and accuracy. It can be used to block not only the apparatus as a whole, but also individual apps. Also it can be used as a shutter button,-selfie camera to take screenshots of the screen to manage notifications bar. Unlock LG Q7 and Q7+ with face recognition is not provided, despite the use of the Android operating system 8.1 Oreo in which this feature is, in principle, is embedded by default.

The case in the original shell LG, with whom we have already met in close communication even with last year’s flagships, LG G6 V30+. Apart from the limitations mentioned above, the sheath leaves a very good impression – she has enough family traits (like the unusual navigation in the settings and some features of the design) and there is no urgency. There is a fairly extensive set of pre-installed applications, from the basics (calculator, clock etc) to brand (LG Switch, file Manager, QuickMemo+, Smart Doctor and shopping cart application that stores deleted programs for some time after you decided to delete them). From third party apps already installed Facebook, Instagram, 2GIS, the search string “Yandex” (along with the standard Google), the application “Yandex.Search” and “Sberbank” . Also the phone after the update is installed the “Yandex.Search for” Alice appears that, by default, offers the weather and your opinion about it – if you want it it is possible to discuss.
Display and sound
In LG Q7 and Q7+ a 5.5-inch LCD display format 18:9 with IPS-matrix with a resolution of 2160 × 1080 pixels. Due to a combination of a relatively small diagonal and Full HD resolution+ we get unusually high for a smartphone middle class with pixel density of 442 ppi. To see the pixelation on the screen Q7, and Q7+, it is impossible, the picture is smooth and clear in any application.
Sandwich display, of course, includes a polarizing layer, and an oleophobic coating (very effective), and also eliminates an air layer between the glass and matrix. The touch cover works with multi-touch gestures and responds to 10 simultaneous touches. If you look at the display under strong angle – the picture loses contrast, but does not change color.
The measured level was 433 CD/m2 for LCD it’s enough to not blind the screen in direct sunlight, but the colors fade.
The contrast is 1263:1 – LCD display a completely normal level.
In LG Q7 and Q7+ is not provided by any settings of the color display: you can change the size of elements, font, scale the application or activate the “night mode” with warm colors to reduce eye fatigue. But color reproduction is possible only one that is offered by default. It remains only to rely on the factory settings LG display engineers.
Setting this quite ordinary, no surprises – both pleasant and unpleasant. Average gamma of 2.26 is at the very calm behavior of the curves is a good indicator. Color temperature ranges between 7 and 200 8 700 K with a median of around 8 400 K. This is the normal behavior for a smartphone screen – are usually full of cool shades, and Q7+ is no exception. The average DeltaE deviation for the extended Color Checker palette (grayscale + wide array of color shades) made up 6.36 at the rate of 3.00. Again, based on the experience of numerous tests – it is quite average for a smartphone, especially in this price category.
For LG Q7 and Q7+ already do not focus on “straight” amplifier, although the G7 ThinQ he paid a lot of attention. However, these smartphones have something to offer in terms of sound. First, there is a mini Jack, despite the claimed high level of moisture protection. Secondly, the stated support for the codec DTS:X, which provides virtual 7.1-channel sound. Third, LG Q7+ elementary sounds good wired headphones with decent volume, decent bass and normal detail, but with some bias towards lower frequencies. Any ordinary music lover it is quite possible to recommend these models. However, not one that uses wireless headphones that support aptX standard or the like to transmit high-resolution data from LG Q7/Q7+ stated.
Built-in speaker monaural, located on the bottom face and provides sound normal volume. Neither vertical nor horizontal grip it with your finger does not overlap.
