Who just became the main hero of a popular “roguelike”: a crying child, who is trying to sacrifice his mother (The Binding of Isaac), it has a variety of shortcomings knights (Rogue Legacy). The creators of the Moonlighter also excelled in their creation, the protagonist is engaged in trade, and the goods he finds in dungeons that bravely protects every night. And replicom game is only half — it is rather action role-playing, which, however, resembles both the above-mentioned project.
The action takes place in the village Rinoka. In the course of excavations, its people have discovered a mysterious gate that lead to other dimensions and attract the attention of brave travellers — still hunt for treasure, sooner or later you will want any adventurer. That dealer will no longer able to restrain himself despite the advice of the elders, he went to the first dungeon and fails, and then eager to go back at least once more.
The dungeon always consists of three floors, and the last of them will meet with the boss. Location each time are randomly generated, and a structure reminiscent of The Binding of Isaac: associated with each other rectangular rooms, divide, indestructible stones and opponents of different types, immediately attacking character. Unlike other games of this kind, there is no drop out of enemies “gold”, just as there are no dealers in these raids you yourself, the seller and the supplier.
But most of the defeated creatures drop materials or other valuable items. That’s only inventory you have is small — there are only twenty cells, some of which is taken about the stock kits. And stuff, you’ll find a lot, including in the chests that open after clearing certain rooms. The gameplay would not be as entertaining, if not great music and beautiful pixel art. It’s hard not to notice how the melody in the village turns on different instruments — depending on who is talking. In conversation with the enchantress, the music becomes more mysterious, and in the dialogue with the bankers and shopkeepers — a little more joyful and loud. In visual terms too, nothing to complain about — though dungeons and similar to each other, but this is compensated a sufficient amount of detail.
