Overview of smartphone LeRee Le 3: emergency reboot
Basically, what happened cannot be called a rebrand – just instead of the name of the “parent” concern the smartphone now bears the name of the subsidiaries established in 2016 for businesses in Russia, Eastern Europe and the CIS (the name stands for LeEco Russia and Eastern Europe). However, the sales of smartphones and other products under the brand name LeEco needs, according to the company, continue to only buy them now at brand’s online store le.ru impossible. Yes, it’s very complicated – and this is especially alarming against the background of information about the financial problems of the group and numerous cuts, including changes in the Russian office. Here are some of the latest news on the theme: one, two, three.
However, instead of the complete collapse of the Russian project grayhouse LeEco still continues to fly – so we turn to the immediate character of the material, the smartphone LeRee Le 3. In addition removenode the name of the device is notable for a place of Assembly (it does pretty well-known at home company Coolpad, now owned by LeEco) for such a “Chinese” a nice combination of price and performance. In fact this name has been in hiding for almost a year sold in China, the Coolpad device Cool1. However, nothing wrong with that, morally obsolete he had not.
Buyers are offered a fairly standard soup set: 5.5-inch Full HD display, the mobile platform Qualcomm Snapdragon 652, 3 GB of the RAM + 32 GB of the nonvolatile memory, dual 13-megapixel camera, the battery on 4000 mA·h is Not the standard then the price for everything please 14 990 rubles. After Xiaomi, of course, such is not surprising (recall the recent Redmi Note 4X), but LeRee promises adaptation to the Russian consumer (sounds, frankly, terrible) and official sales (but this is a definite plus).

Design, ergonomics and software
At the time, LeEco Le Pro 3, I criticized the anonymity of similarity on all modern smartphones at once. Another thing is that these criticisms can be addressed very many, but, fortunately, not LeRee Le 3. No, this device won’t be called stereotypes or instantly recognizable, but at least he has some face with a screen, visually risers “spacer” front panel, with relatively sharp corners and edges with a rounded back.
Anyway, any specific details unique to Le 3, smartphone not – all this we anyway saw somewhere else. However, to expect a designer exploits against the budget model is hardly worth it. Unfortunately, it uses the typical trick of enhancing the visual display: a black “mourning” frame around it. For my taste, it never was and looks acceptable only with the screen off.
The smartphone is made of metal (back and sides), glass (front panel) and plastic (the insert under the antenna in the rear). The color of two solutions is available: silver, as we have, or gold. Alas, the filmmakers were no original moves.
Dimensions LeRee Le 3 – 152 × 74,8 × 8.2 mm, weight – 173 grams. This is a fairly large, thick and heavy device, even with the discount on 5.5-inch display. Rate compact here, no one did. To cope with him quite comfortably – Yes, only two hands, one still difficult, though it can be done, but some problems due to the thickness and weight of a smartphone I have not experienced. I liked the already mentioned relatively sharp edges, clinging fingers, and in the end more securely hold the smartphone in hand. Rear panel, in turn, not slippery.
Under the screen is a control panel with three touch keys: the functions of two of them long familiar “Home” and “Back”, but the third opens a special shell EUI screen with open applications, and basic settings that almost all other Android smartphones are on the curtain, extending from the top edge of the display. Here on this curtain withdrawn only by notice and the current date/time.
In the back, next to the double camera is the fingerprint scanner. It works very quickly and almost accurately for a week and a half of testing he almost never made a mistake and for the most part determined by the thumbprint the first time.
With this sensor you can unlock the device and particular application, but payment through Android Pay by using LeRee Le 3 is impossible, then there is an elementary module Near Field Communication.
Works LeRee Le 3 running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a proprietary shell EUI (once with the names of their add-ons to the operating system from Chinese manufacturers of smartphones is very tight) – Pro upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat yet.

Pro shell EUI I wrote in a review of LeEco’s Le Pro3, stop here on the main features of the interface: no applications menu, but you can endlessly multiply screens; special screen basic settings that I mentioned and on this screen you have a few basic apps and open tabs – manage need here.
Making more or less familiar, some surprising features in this plan LeEco shows – and for the better. Of course, there are different themes, which change not only Wallpapers but also icons, however, you might want to keep a relative “innocence” of the system, without Chinese coarseness. Except that lame places the fulfillment of things: for example, in the shooting menu in landscape orientation “eaten” pieces of inscriptions in manual shooting mode – in principle, the nature of the problems can be understood at this point. Stability and speed of operation of the system I have pretensive arose.
The system is Packed full of extra software that’s supposed to show “russifitsirovannye” system: here app Amedia with Megogo, and ivi.ru (although LeEco had Napoleonic plans to start your online cinema, quiet now folded), and “Litres” with Zvooq. Is not particularly happy, but not too embarrassing – at least localizers escaped applications, changing the logic of a smartphone, such as the search for “Yandex” or meylovskiy package.
