Review for smartphone BQ Space X: up in the sky
The Russian company BQ, as a rule, focuses on a budget device, releasing for the most part, smartphones and tablets with price less than 10 thousand rubles. But BQ Space X does not fit into the frame, proving, in fact, the flagship of the model range of the company. His ambition, he confirms not only the price of 14 000 rubles, but also a set of features: the aforementioned screen format 18:9 and double the “frontalka” added Qualcomm platform (even if it is Snapdragon 430), rear camera with
This removes some of the questions about the price, but still main – about the name. On stage want to be Elon musk, but it most likely will never know about the existence of this smartphone. Well, we assume it is a kind of “cosmic” joke.

Design, ergonomics and software
BQ didn’t invent the design Space X, referring to the precepts of the Suprematist Malevich. Turned out, of course, not the black square and black rectangle, but the meaning remains the same. Other color options are not provided – a rarity for our time, when almost every model can be found in 3-4 colors.
But pleasing materials – here the Space X corresponds to its “flagship” (BQ) status: front panel is covered with a slightly curved 2.5 D glass is certainly tough, and the rest of the case is aluminum, with a small plastic “spacers” to ensure that antennas do not just were in the building, and really worked.
The beauty of screen format 18:9 – not only is that exactly the same of the Samsung Galaxy S8, LG G6 and iPhone X, but that it occupies the maximum area of the front panel. Due to this, in the case of relatively small dimensions (152 × 72,9 × 8.3 mm) it is possible to fit a 5.7-inch display. Personally, I operate it with one hand is still not obtained, but nothing absolutely impossible in this – the side frames are practically absent, the space above the screen and beneath the left also minimal.
BQ was not to be original and in management. Through the use of a large display can be placed on it, the navigation strip without seriously affecting user comfort. As a result, the area under the screen has been possible to reduce extremely. Mini-Jack is left intact – fashion fashion, but we need to respect the boundaries of decency in pursuit of her.
Physical controls (the power key and volume control) placed on the right side, audio Jack on top and charging port and connecting to computer – to-bottom. And it’s microUSB and not the USB Type-C, which expect to see here, looking at the other features of the Space X. Why does rapidly leaving in the past the standard — remains a mystery.
The fingerprint scanner located on the rear panel, under the camera unit. To confuse them by feel is almost impossible, and from the point of view of human anatomy is the most reasonable way to accommodate this sensor. It can be used to unlock the phone and a separate app – that’s it. NFC-module in the Space X there, so pay at terminals that support Android Pay, it is, alas, impossible.
BQ provided unlock using person that you need to set the settings. By default, when you launch the smartphone offers a classic way — with the help of fingerprints.

The peculiarity of the smartphone BQ is manifested not in its design and in the design workspace. Here we use the Android version 7.1.2, but with a proprietary shell, with a number of features from the original filled blinds notifications with two screens and redrawn (normally, by the way) fonts to extensive integration of local applications. For example, the browser defaults to Yandex, there is also a feature-rich and UC Browser is not convenient, and in addition to the standard Google search bar on the second screen of the smartphone you can find the same from “Yandex”. In the notifications we see a set of Russian services to which you can attach, for example, the application of the service “Yandex.Zen”. But you can keep the default view – here we have a choice.
In General, the shell is even slightly overloaded, but to call it unsuccessful, I did not turn the language. She works quickly enough, services not pushy, and changes – critical for usability. Is that not enough stability for me during testing was pursued by regular flights from the underlying applications.
